Recreation
The Recreational Sports Complex is a multifaceted sport complex that provides members and their guests with various services and is the main hub to all your recreational activities in the Hideout.
A first class Fitness Center and Aerobic Room, Saunas, Library, Card Room, two Indoor Tennis Courts, two Outdoor Tennis Courts , Indoor Shuffleboard Court, Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Pickle Ball, Game Room, Recreation Office, Golf Simulator, Multi-Purpose Room all are housed at the Recreational Sports Complex in the North Section of the Hideout on North Fairway Drive.
Stepping outside the sports complex, The Hideout has six additional outside tennis courts, two sets are lighted for night time play, a 2.7 mile Walking Trail, Mini Golf Course, South Recreation baseball field, two basketball courts, four shuffleboard courts, two bocce, six horseshoe pits, two volleyball courts, two handball/racquetball courts, four playgrounds, Community Garden.
The Recreation Department organizes and runs activities year round.
Spring/Summer
Bingos, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball Sport Camps, Jr. Tennis Program, Pee Wee Tennis, shuffleboard and bocce Leagues, Pool/Billiards, Volleyball, Horseshoe, Bocce, Pickeball and Tennis Tournaments, Night at the Races, Beach Parties, Boat Regatta, Little Miss and Mr. Hideout Pageant, 4th of July Fireworks, Flea Market, Family Softball, Children’s Fishing Derby, Jr. Woodworkers Craft Day, Family Olympics, Egg Dip, Triathlon, Youth Triathlon, Campfire Nights at Laurel Park Campground, Kayak Party, Teddy Bear Picnic, Father’s Day Mini-Golf Tournament, NYC Bus Trips, Mohegan Sun Bus Trips.
Kids Camp are available Monday through Friday, from late June to the middle of August. See brochure for more details.
Fall/Winter
Flea Market, Fall Festival, Indoor Shuffleboard League, Pickleball League, Open Gym Bingos, 3-Point Shootout Tournaments, Ping Pong Tournaments, Craft Fair, Family Flag Football, Tree Lighting Ceremony, Tennis Mixed Doubles Mixer, Trunk or Treat, Children’s Holiday Parties, Breakfast with Santa, Cross Country Ski Rentals.
Tennis clinics and Private Lessons for all levels are available throughout the year. Lessons are available Saturday and Sundays throughout the year and Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays June through Labor Day.
