 The Association of Property Owners of the Hideout, Inc. is a Gold Star gated recreational community in Northeastern Pennsylvania seeking candidates for the following positions: 

 

COMMUNITY MANAGER 

Seeking an experienced Community Manager to provide exceptional service to the Board and Homeowners.The Community Manager ensures Association business is executed in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with Association governing documents, (By-Laws, Protective Covenants, Consolidated Rules & Regulations, etc.), applicable local, state and federal regulations, and policies and objectives established by the Board of Directors. The Community Manager will consistently adhere to and perpetuate the mission of the Association, Board of Directors, and membership, and has oversight over all aspects of community operations. This would include, but is not limited to: building strong relationships with the Board of Directors, committees and property owners, ensuring common areas are properly maintained, managing staff, ensuring homeowner adherence to community rules and regulations, assisting with budget preparation, presenting financial reports, preparing for and attending board meetings, and communicating with outside entities as necessary as well as local and state dignitaries. Takes pride in the look and feel of the community and strives to maintain our Gold Star status. The Community Manager must have a service-oriented mindset, multi-tasking abilities, and a flexible resilient attitude.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

  • Master’s Degree preferred in municipal management, public administration or Community Manager development.
  • Eight years of progressive experience in management of service-oriented organization. 
  • Must have demonstrated exceptional ability in public relations, personnel management, facility maintenance, planning, and volunteer participation guidance.
  • A strong background in overall management of non-profit organization particularly in the areas of maintenance, recreational activities, budget development and control, food service administration, housekeeping and Community Manager service.
  • Person with a high level of motivation and perseverance. 
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays when required.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
 
Conserves the General Manager’s time and promotes the Association’s image by representing the GM internally and externally; providing liaison between the GM, key executives, members and employees; publishing the Association newsletter.  Responsible for preparation of communications of all types in different media, responding to inquiries, creating and maintaining office media (files, reports, analyses, budgets, etc.), overseeing office management operations and other administrative duties for the office of the General Manager and the Board of Directors.  Provide support to the GM in all public relations and media events.
 
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 yrs. experience in the administrative field, with office and supply management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, applications and office-related IT tools.
  • Must have the sensitivity to gauge the public perception of the Association, possess excellent tact and diplomacy and be able to build and sustain positive relationships with members, guests, employees, media, etc.
  • Exceptional communication, decision-making skills and administrative skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a strong ability to honor confidentiality and discretion concerns.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays when required.
 
ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD TECHNICIAN (PART-TIME)
 
Work to assist both the Environmental Manager and the Administrative Assistant with Environmental Control Committee (ECC) procedures, enforcement of ECC Rules and Regulations, conduct initial home resale inspections, conduct follow-up site inspections and other related duties.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Knowledge of construction & building codes is desired.
  • Sound public relation skills, ability to communicate orally, electronically and in writing is necessary.
  • The ability to multi-task and complete assigned duties in a timely manner with little supervision is a must. 
  • Responsible team player to support our diverse work program.  

PATROL OFFICER 

Responsible and accountable to his/her immediate supervisor in the Chain of Command.  Maintain the enforcement responsibility for adopted Rules and Regulations.  Ensure the public safety of Association members, guests, employees, and contractors. Supervise department personnel on his/her assigned shifts. 
 
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Must be 18 years or older, certified in ACT 235 and possess a valid PA driver’s license.
  • May be asked to work overtime or double shift.
  • Work is performed inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable situations.
  • Must be in Hideout issued uniform while on duty.  The Public Safety Director and/or the Operations Lieutenant must approve any exception to this rule.
  • Attendance at Public Safety related seminars sponsored by The Hideout is recommended for all Officers.
 
RESERVE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICERS (PART-TIME)
 
Acts in the capacity of Training Officer and Supervisor for all Public Safety Communication Officers. Responsible and accountable to his/her immediate supervisor in the Chain of Command.  Maintain the enforcement responsibility for adopted Rules and Regulations.  Ensure the public safety of Association members, guests, employees, and contractors.
 
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Must be 18 years old and possess a valid PA Driver’s License.
  • Ability to deal with the public. 
  • Basic knowledge of Radio Communications a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of First Aid/AED/EMT a plus.

MAINTENANCE LABORER (PART-TIME)
 
Seeking a Maintenance Laborer to perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, facilities and common areas.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • General knowledge of maintenance and preventive maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment and building components.
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment and power tools and operate light trucks, tractors and light construction equipment.
  • Ability to perform Physical labor.
  • Must possess mechanical aptitude and the ability to solve problems with little supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of all building trades.
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is to be used at all times.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Must be in Hideout issued uniform while on duty.
  • Must possess a valid PA Driver’s License.
 
HOUSEKEEPER
 
Employee performs physical work necessary to maintain a high-standard of cleanliness, orderliness, appearance and sanitation in all Hideout amenities and public areas. Work is performed within established procedures under both written and verbal instructions. Some minor decision making about details of work is exercised.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Basic understanding of commercial building cleaning methods and procedures;
  • Knowledge of the materials, supplies and equipment utilized in cleaning activities.
  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning products and chemicals.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, use good judgment in carrying out written or oral instructions.
  • Demonstrates high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate mechanical cleaning devices.
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is to be used at all times.
  • Must foster a positive work demeanor.

 GOLF COURSE EQUIPMENT OPERATORS (FULL-TIME & PART-TIME)
In search of a Full-time and Part-time Equipment Operator to perform maintenance on our prestige’s nine-hole golf course. As a golf course equipment operator you are responsible for keeping fairways and greens in optimal condition. Ideal candidates must be available weekends. Prior equipment operation experience is preferred.   


LIFEGUARDS
   To observe and supervise the activities of swimmers in and around the pool and adjacent areas and respoding to emergencies with the major emphasis must be given to preventative lifeguarding and the surveillance of all patrons. 
 
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Individual must be American Red Cross certified in the following areas: 
  • Lifeguard Training,
  • Waterfront Lifeguarding,
  • CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
  • Standard First Aid.
  • Must be able to maintain an attitude of alertness at all times.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of all Hideout Rules & Regulations.
  • Must conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Must have good decision-making skills.
  • Must be experienced in the daily supervision of a public pool.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with staff and guests.
  • Must be in full uniform at all times.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE

WAITSTAFF

Our casual dining restaurant and pub is in need of experienced and motivated waitstaff to join our team. If you have experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the potential for advancement, we want to talk to you. Successful candidates will be responsible for establishing friendly relationships with patrons and ensuring they enjoy fast, pleasant service throughout their dining experience. Applicants need to have flexible schedule. 

LINE COOKS
Seeking professional line cooks who can help prepare meals as per our standard recipes. Successful candidates will be responsible for creating meal portions, cleaning food, cooking meals and keeping a santitized work area. We are seeking individuals with experience in the food service industry and is committed to impeccable food presentation. 


DISHWASHERS
If you've ever dreamed of working as a Kitchen Manager or Prep Cook, this position might provide you with a great start! Responsiblities include operating an industrial dishwasher, washing other implements by hand when necessary and assisting kitchen staff, when needed.
