UPCOMING SEASONAL POSITIONS!


POOL/BEACH OFFICERS (PART-TIME) 
Responsible and accountable to his/her immediate supervisor in the Chain of Command.  Maintain the enforcement responsibility for adopted Rules and Regulations as they pertain to Pool & Beaches.  Ensure the public safety of Association members, guests, employees, and contractors.
 
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • At least one-year experience in Security position preferred. 
  • Basic knowledge of Radio Communications helpful.
  • First Aid/AED/EMT certification a plus.  
  • Must possess good decision-making skills and a high level of patience in dealing effectively with property owners in a polite and courteous manner at all times.
  • Must be detailed oriented and have excellent and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be certified in and able to use tools and equipment required (i.e. Pepper Spray).
  • Must be able to remain calm in an emergency situation. 
  • Must be flexible and capable of working well under pressure. 
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Must possess a valid PA Driver’s License.


 
GOLF COURSE EQUIPMENT OPERATORS (FULL-TIME & PART-TIME)
In search of a Full-time and Part-time Equipment Operator to perform maintenance on our prestige’s nine-hole golf course. As a golf course equipment operator you are responsible for keeping fairways and greens in optimal condition. Ideal candidates must be available weekends. Prior equipment operation experience is preferred. 
 
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Knowledge of the safe mechanical operation of motorized equipment, ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of maintenance tools, basic mechanical aptitude, ability to follow oral and written directions.
  • Basic knowledge of the rules and strategies of the game of golf.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
 
LIFEGUARDS (SEASONAL)
To observe and supervise the activities of swimmers in and around the pool and adjacent areas and responding to emergencies with the major emphasis must be given to PREVENTIVE LIFEGUARDING and the surveillance of all patrons.
 
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Individual must be American Red Cross certified in the following areas: 
  • Lifeguard Training,
  • Waterfront Lifeguarding,
  • CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
  • Standard First Aid.
  • Must be able to maintain an attitude of alertness at all times.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of all Hideout Rules & Regulations.
  • Must conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Must have good decision-making skills.
  • Must be experienced in the daily supervision of a public pool.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with staff and guests.
  • Must be in full uniform at all times.
 
CAMP DIRECTORS (SEASONAL)
 Design and implement age appropriate programs for each specific camp. Responsible for running sports camps and assisting in general recreational duties.
 
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Must possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to camp activities.
  • Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (illness, or injury).
  • Must be able to follow, observe, and enforce all camp safety regulations.
  • Must be able to swim and be able to supervise children in the water.

CAMP ASSISTANTS (SEASONAL)
 Reports directly to the Camp Director.  Assist in the supervision and execution of the summer camp program.
 
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Must possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to camp activities.
  • Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (illness, or injury).

SNACK BAR ATTENDANTS
 In need of experienced and motivated waitstaff to join our team. If you have experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the potential for advancement, we want to talk to you. Successful candidates will be responsible for establishing friendly relationships with patrons and ensuring they enjoy fast and pleasant service Applicants must have a flexible schedules.

RECREATION DEPARTMENT

FITNESS CENTER COORDINATOR
Responsible for developing and implementing programs for this facility. Administrative duties include hiring/firing of Fitness Center Personnel and record keeping.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Recommend purchase of new equipment.
  • Help in preparing annual budget for Department.
  • Maintain membership records and statistics.
  • Provide safe and effective instruction of all cardiovascular and weight training equipment.
  • Conduct equipment orientations.
  • Offer useful, tactful, and safe advice to individuals regarding their exercise program and/or use of equipment.
  • Maintain and clean exercise equipment.
  • Inform facility users of various Fitness Center sponsored programs.
  • Enforce all facility and program policies.
  • Organize special classes.
  • Organize and maintain the Fitness Center.
 
PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT


 

PATROL OFFICERS (FULL-TIME/PART-TIME) 
Responsible and accountable to his/her immediate supervisor in the Chain of Command.  Maintain the enforcement responsibility for adopted Rules and Regulations.  Ensure the public safety of Association members, guests, employees, and contractors. Supervise department personnel on his/her assigned shifts. 
 
EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be 18 years or older, certified in ACT 235 and possess a valid PA driver’s license.
  • May be asked to work overtime or double shift.
  • Work is performed inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable situations.
  • Must be in Hideout issued uniform while on duty.  The Public Safety Director and/or the Operations Lieutenant must approve any exception to this rule.
  • Attendance at Public Safety related seminars sponsored by The Hideout is recommended for all Officers.
 
RESERVE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICERS (FULL-TIME/PART-TIME)
Responsible and accountable to his/her immediate supervisor in the Chain of Command.  Maintain the enforcement responsibility for adopted Rules and Regulations.  Ensure the public safety of Association members, guests, employees, and contractors. 

EXPERENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be 18 years old and possess a valid PA Driver’s License.
  • Ability to deal with the public. 
  • Basic knowledge of Radio Communications a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of First Aid/AED/EMT a plus.
 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE DEPARTMENT

 

WAITSTAFF
 To achieve high standards of excellence and quality they must set places at dining tables, take orders, serve food and drinks, answer inquiries about menu and attend to wishes of guest, as well as up-selling of food and drinks with the knowledge of proper table service and etiquette.

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIRMENTS:
  • Must be able to operate a Point Of Sale computer, make change correctly and make credit card transaction accurately.
  • Must be able to read and write notes to hearing impaired guests & verbalize menu items clearly to guests.
  • Must be able to balance money at end of each shift.
  • Must be able to effectively card all guests who appear under the age of 30 for alcohol purchases.
  • Must be able to effectively ask for member identification.
 
BUSSER
Ensure guests are quickly seated at a clean, properly set table. Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, restrooms, perimeter of building and parking lot. Assist Wait Staff, Bartender and Host/Hostess’ to ensure guests receive excellent service.

 
LINE/PREP COOKS
Assist the Executive Chef in all duties.  Ensure that all prepared foods meet the standards of excellence.  Develop quality products through consistent execution line production.  Execute daily specials that reflect the standards of quality of the concept and that optimize profits and exceed guest expectations. 

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • +BOH experience in a similar restaurant. 
  • Culinary degree recommended. 
  • Recommended that you maintain current ServSafe Certification.
  • Must possess a basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Must possess the ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
  • Must possess the ability to work closely with standard recipes and plate presentation in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and respond promptly to needs of FOH and BOH employees.
  • Must have the ability to maintain calm demeanor in a fast paced, high intensity environment.
  • Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in Hideout approved uniform at all times.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends & holidays.
  • General knowledge of both FOH & BOH policies and procedures.
 
FACILITIES DEPARTMENT
 
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (FULL-TIME/PART-TIME)
Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various amenities, facilities/sites to including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, glazier, masonry, painting and landscaping tasks.
 
EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Entry level skills in HVAC mechanical systems and familiarity with local plumbing codes.
  • Entry level skills in pool maintenance/operation, including pumps, filters, and chemical feeder equipment.
  • Apprentice in pool operations and pesticide applications with the PA Department of Agriculture.
  • Entry level skills in electrical systems.
  • Ability to operate equipment and maintain equipment and tools.
  • Entry level skills in paint applicators and sprayers.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 yrs. experience in residential or commercial construction.
  • Must be self- motivated, organized and demonstrate a good work ethic.
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is to be used at all times.
  • Must be in Hideout issued uniform while on duty.
  • Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
