Training for all positions will be provided on site.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays, including Xmas thru New Year’s Day and Presidents Week, when school is not in session.


 
ADMINISTRATION
 
 

FINANCIAL MANAGER
Manage all financial functions/activities necessary for the Community Manager to meet its fiscal goals/responsibilities and assist the Community Manager. Manages the Accounting Department providing financial information for all Community Manager activities that enables management and the Board of Directors to make educated economic decisions for the Community's future. This position acts for the Community Manager in his/her absence, directing the day to day activities of the POA in accordance with all State and Federal laws/regulations, as well as the policies and objectives established by the Board of Directors. 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • B.S. Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university. 
  • Knowledge and experience in financial statement preparation, AICPA standards and generally accepted accounting techniques.  Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking working knowledge.
  • Must be computer literate as well as spreadsheet proficient (hardware and software).
  • Strong managerial abilities.
 
ADVERTISING EDITOR/COMMUNITY RELATIONS ASSISTANT

Secure paid advertisers for the Hideabout, Hideout Map, Web Classified and any additional advertising needs of the General Manager. Follow through by obtaining, preparing and proofing copy. 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Excel, Word.
  • Understanding of layout/design and printing procedure.
  • Scanning experience.
  • Photography Experience.
  • Typing and writing skills.
  • Working cooperatively with clients and staff.

RECREATION
 
 


RECREATION OFFICE SUPERVISOR

Assists in the coordination of daily operational office related tasks. Is involved in the successful management of the Recreation Sales Office. Assist in merchandise ordering, work orders, stocking, and oversee inventory for Recreation and Art Center. Schedules staff for RSC, game room, and special events.
 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

  • 1-2 yrs. experience in General office operations.
  • A strong background in administration skills.
  • Valid PA. Driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of office, accounting procedures & computer skills required.
  • Inventory control experience preferred.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to adjust to dynamic work environment.
  • Proactive, helpful, welcoming to the public.
  • Able to work independently and interdependently.
  • Must master knowledge of all Hideout Rules and Regulations; as well as, Recreation Policies and procedures.
  • Must become familiar with all Recreation activities.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and coordinate cooperative efforts between departments.
 
 
FACILITIES DEPARTMENT
 
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (FULL-TIME/PART-TIME)
Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various amenities, facilities/sites to including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, glazier, masonry, painting and landscaping tasks.
 
EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Entry level skills in HVAC mechanical systems and familiarity with local plumbing codes.
  • Entry level skills in pool maintenance/operation, including pumps, filters, and chemical feeder equipment.
  • Apprentice in pool operations and pesticide applications with the PA Department of Agriculture.
  • Entry level skills in electrical systems.
  • Ability to operate equipment and maintain equipment and tools.
  • Entry level skills in paint applicators and sprayers.
  • Entry level skills in paint composition and color harmony.
  • Entry level skills in proper use and care of tools and equipment, application techniques, paint mixing and matching.
  • Entry level skills in characteristics of different finishes, wood finishing and safety.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 yrs. experience in residential or commercial construction.
  • Entry level skills in interpret blueprints, riser diagrams & understand and follow instructions.
  • Entry level skills in wood frame construction & remodeling trades, practices, procedures and technologies.
  • Must have manual dexterity, eye/hand coordination and a good sense of balance.
  • Must possess good communication skills and a keen eye for curb appeal.
  • Must be self- motivated, organized and demonstrate a good work ethics.
  • Attendance at maintenance related seminars/training classes sponsored by The Hideout is recommended.
  • Must keep up to date on new technologies
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is to be used at all times.

CUSTODIAN (FULL-TIME)
Employee performs physical work necessary to maintain a high-standard of cleanliness, orderliness, appearance and sanitation in all Hideout amenities and public areas. Work is performed within established procedures under both written and verbal instructions. Some minor decision making about details of work is exercised.
 
EXPERIANCE & OTHER REQUIRMENTS:
  • Basic understanding of commercial building cleaning methods and procedures;
  • Knowledge of the materials, supplies and equipment utilized in cleaning activities.
  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning products and chemicals.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, use good judgment in carrying out written or oral instructions.
  • High mental and/or visual effort; demonstrates high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate mechanical cleaning devices.
  • Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, kneel, bend and reach.
  • Available to work occasional to frequent overtime.
  • Attendance at position related seminars/training classes recommended for all personnel.

PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT


 
PATROL OFFICERS (PART-TIME) 
Responsible and accountable to his/her immediate supervisor in the Chain of Command.  Maintain the enforcement responsibility for adopted Rules and Regulations.  Ensure the public safety of Association members, guests, employees, and contractors. Supervise department personnel on his/her assigned shifts. 
 
EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be 18 years or older, certified in ACT 235 and possess a valid PA driver’s license.
  • May be asked to work overtime or double shift.
  • Work is performed inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable situations.
  • Must be in Hideout issued uniform while on duty.  The Public Safety Director and/or the Operations Lieutenant must approve any exception to this rule.
  • Attendance at Public Safety related seminars sponsored by The Hideout is recommended for all Officers.
 
RESERVE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICERS (PART-TIME)
 
Responsible and accountable to his/her immediate supervisor in the Chain of Command.  Maintain the enforcement responsibility for adopted Rules and Regulations.  Ensure the public safety of Association members, guests, employees, and contractors. 

EXPERENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be 18 years old and possess a valid PA Driver’s License.
  • Ability to deal with the public. 
  • Basic knowledge of Radio Communications a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of First Aid/AED/EMT a plus.
 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE DEPARTMENT

LINE/PREP COOKS
Assist the Executive Chef in all duties.  Ensure that all prepared foods meet the standards of excellence.  Develop quality products through consistent execution line production.  Execute daily specials that reflect the standards of quality of the concept and that optimize profits and exceed guest expectations. 

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • +BOH experience in a similar restaurant. 
  • Culinary degree recommended. 
  • Recommended that you maintain current ServSafe Certification.
  • Must possess a basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Must possess the ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
  • Must possess the ability to work closely with standard recipes and plate presentation in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and respond promptly to needs of FOH and BOH employees.
  • Must have the ability to maintain calm demeanor in a fast paced, high intensity environment.
  • Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in Hideout approved uniform at all times.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends & holidays.
  • General knowledge of both FOH & BOH policies and procedures.

WAITSTAFF
 To achieve high standards of excellence and quality they must set places at dining tables, take orders, serve food and drinks, answer inquiries about menu and attend to wishes of guest, as well as up-selling of food and drinks with the knowledge of proper table service and etiquette.

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIRMENTS:
  • Must be able to operate POS computer, make change correctly and make credit card transaction accurately.
  • Must be able to calmly respond to angry guests and notify a manager.
  • Must be able to read and write notes to hearing impaired guests & verbalize menu items clearly to guests.
  • Must be able to balance money at end of each shift.
  • Must be able to effectively card all guests who appear under the age of 30 for alcohol purchases.
  • Must be able to effectively ask for member identification.
